This stand alone story is published in A Coven of Witches book of short stories. A good story, although repeated too many times in two other books (other than this stand alone story so that would be a total of three other books). I love the character of Grimalkin ~ she is my favorite character, /5. Grimalkin's Tales by Judy Gardiner, Mark Ronson and Stella Whitelaw - book cover, description, publication history. Meet Grimalkin, the fearsome witch assassin, and find out how she came to take the role she now holds. This exclusive digital short story set in the world of Joseph Delaney's best-selling series The Wardstone Chronicles first appeared in the spine-tingling collection The Spook's Stories: Witches. Grimalkin’s Tale is taken from The Spook's Stories: Witches, and is available exclusively as a limited-edition ebook. You don't have to know the Spook's books to enjoy it – it’s a haunting stand-alone story, and a perfect introduction to the world of The Wardstone Chronicles.4/5(32).

A terrifying short story from the world of Jospeh Delaney's best-selling Wardstone Chronicles, featuring the fearsome witch assassin, Grimalkin. Joseph Delaney - The Spook's Stories: Grimalkin's Tale. She paused, then stepped closer and peered into the steam. There's been a spooky sequence where Jonathan hears (yep) whispering in his bedroom. Released as a story to be read after The Spook’s Battle, this short story gives us a glimpse at the witch assassin who we will come to know more deeply in entries to come. This story is exciting and fast-paced. It’s brutal and heart-breaking at points. Grimalkin is one of Joseph Delaney’s greatest creations.

This book was a great spin-off from the spooks series, it gives a inside story to Grimalkins past. Which wasn't always as dark as you would think. Each chapter brings solved secrets, action and lots of adventure. I found it very hard to put this book down, and I'm sure that you will too/5(53).   ‎ 'I fear nobody. But my enemies fear me Without ruthlessness and savagery I would not survive even a week of the life I lead. I am the witch assassin of the Malkin clan.'
